Title: What my son gave me for Father's Day
Description: Better late than never....

AdmiralGummy - June 22, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
My son and his girlfriend gave me a subscription to Star Trek Magazine as a late Father's Day gift.
Did I raise a great kid or what?

I just hope that I start getting them soon.
I've missed a whole year of them so far.

WOW is that magazine still around. I never got one but I always wanted one.

I heard it was cancelled.

They stopped circulation awhile ago. But a new company is publishing it now.
They started up again about a year ago.

They're hard to find. Not many of the news stands carry them. Very few book stores have them. I know that Barnes and Noble and Borders carry it. Since I couldn't find it locally, my son and his g/f bought me the subscription.

I asked at my local grocery store why they don't carry it anymore. Apparently, I was the only one buying it.

99% of my local supermarkets didn't carry it.
I attributed that to the fact that they only carry magazines that no one else buys.
All of the good magazines can be found at Barnes & Noble or Borders or an old -time type of newsstand.

AdmiralGummy - February 1, 2008 08:52 AM (GMT)
I'm surprised that is considered to be "rare".
I've seen them in toy stores here in the states.

It's been out of production for over a year .

That qualifies it as hard to find
