I love the scene from TWOK. It's a classic.
The Future Ent-D is alright because it's from the series finale.

I got one for christmas last year and I can't say I have any great urge to put it on the tree.

I do hope yr joking about the tree up in july.....
anyway....I put my tree up a week before xmas..after much ear-bending from my son.......and take it down about 2 days after...coz usually im sick of seeing it!
and its a fibre optic one....
5 Easy Steps for your christmas Tree.
Step 1 - Go into loft and get tree.
Step 2 - Set tree in base.
Step 3 - Bend down branches for that 'tree effect'
Step 4 - Plug in.
Step 5 - 'Aaaaaaaaaaaaah....pretty!'..

Actually, I was kidding about putting the tree up in July.
But, I would display the ornaments year round.

Gee, it has been since 1988 since my family put up a tree.
Never understand going out and kill a tree just to place stuff on it

Like Gummy said The Faux Fiber Optic tree  . I have an unconventional white one. I like the way my ornaments sit better on a white one. The smell of a real one is nice but I'm with you, I don't like to go out and cut a live one out the ground. Plus the watering and having to vacuum the needles are annoying.
Oooh!! I like the future Enterprise -D one. I already have Voyager, The Defiant, some combadges, EMH, and the Delta Flyer. :woohoo:

You could put up a poster of a christmas tree.
What is so wrong with that ??????
There are a number of men that have a poster of Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine in their rooms and they think they have a girlfriend.

| QUOTE |
Am I harming the forest by choosing a real tree? Definitely not! Christmas trees do not come from the forest! Almost everywhere in North America and for sure in Ontario, Christmas trees are grown as a crop on tree farms. For every tree harvested, there are ten more coming along, otherwise the farmer could not harvest each year.
Is tree farming harmful to our environment? NO! Christmas trees are, except for cultivated forests, the most environmentally friendly crop around. This is because a tree is harvested only after ten years. To ensure future harvests, ninety percent of the farm must remain in trees all the time.
How are real Christmas trees beneficial to our environment? Christmas trees produce oxygen and protect wildlife Just one acre of Christmas trees produces enough oxygen to support eighteen people. In the process, CO2 is taken out of the atmosphere, counteracting the production of CO2 resulting from human use of fossil fuels. Trees also act as air pollution filters and can remove up to 13 tons of airborne pollutants per acre per year. Christmas tree farms are havens for a wide variety of bird and mammal species including grosbeaks, sparrows, chickadees, foxes, coyotes, mice, voles, and squirrels. The "edge effect" created by a stand of Christmas trees next to a woodlot or an open field is known to increase wildlife species diversity.

http://www.christmastrees.on.ca/consumers/...tree-facts.htmlI know it's a tree farm publicity site, but I live in an area with lots of christmas tree farms and have always heard they were good for the environment. Not for any of the reasons above interestinly enough. I'd heard they provide a good income to the farmer, require little in the way of pesticides or herbicides, and do a really good job of holding down the soil. ( A problem in areas that have been logged)

It is pretty small, but remember, it has to be light enough to hang on a tree.
This one won't as it is now a permanent fixture in my Home Office.
AdmiralGummy - November 15, 2007 02:20 PM (GMT)
Here is my newest one, given to me by my kids for my birthday a couple of weeks ago:

A quick note:
My two Trek Ornaments are currently on my tree.
And getting lots of attention.
I can't not push the buttons to light them up every time I go by them. :marx:

I think that what I like to most about them is that they don't have to be put away after the tree comes down. I display mine year round.
Usually in my home office. :marx:
