You mean like a key code?

I had the same issue with my sim city 4. I had it on one computer that died and reinstalled it on this new computer but didn't have the key code.

I just googled key code + Sim City 4 and after a few minutes found a site with a shit load of key codes for Sim City. All worked well.

I also have seen a lot of "Cracks for Game XYZ" on torrent spy.
