I'm sure this has been raised in topics before, however today the first season of the origional series on DVD was delivered to me. i have a question.
why are the episodes jumbelled up? they have put them randomly on DVD's and yet they still have the correct episode numbers on the titles of each episodes from the main menu's... so why is it jumbelled? is it for fun? to confuse? i really dont understand! hehe.

I believe they were broadcast in a different order than they were produced in.

thats a shame, because they make less sense that way. for example there is equiptment, characters and acting that is different, instead of looking like it is getting better as the series continues it just seems random if that makes sense.
the episodes seem to fit better in the production order i think.

Yeah, it is really confusing, especially since the Kirk pilot episode aired third or something like that. What I did was just went through the DVD's and wrote down the numbers, then watched them in order. I think when they originally boradcasted these, they dropped the ball.

fair enough, i would do that if i had the patients, but i think i will just watch them how they are now, i cant really be bothered, i still enjoy them whatever order, its just wierd with the coninuity of the series to have it that way.
