I have two things to say. first of all he is in the new movie Nativity he plays the angel Gabriel and it is and is an exemplary film I recomend every one here go see it.
2nd in the first few seasons of DS9 his name was given as Siddig El Fadil or something like that but than in later seasons it was Alexander Siddigg. whats the deal on that?

He just decided to change his screen name. He Americanized it a bit I guess.

Kai = correct. His screen name was a problem for a lot of people pronounce, so he just changed it to the current one. His legal name is still Siddig el Fadil (actually, the real thing is a lot longer, but I don't feel like looking it up)

I never thought his name was that unpronouncable, unless it sounds different than the english pronunciation.

it probably does thats probably why he did. German for example often sound pretty different from the American pronounciation.

Besides which, Alexander is a quintessentialy English name so it matches his lovely English accent!
