male crewmen wore skirts in the early seasons, but never in the later ones. So what happened? Did they crewmen complain? Did they create an anti-skirt union?

And why didn't any of the command officers wear skirts if they forced the lower ranks to wear them? That doesn't seem very egalitarian.

They probably actually watched the first few shows then decided to nix them.

I get the idea though. Sort of a kilt thing. It would have been cooler in a more ceremonial posistion and if it was more dressy (no pun..).

i remember seeing a dude in the first season in a medical uniform skirt. I figure they thought the whole skirt thing was old to begin with, and especially since starfleet havent used the skirt thing in a hundred years.
