Mayweather. He had the most background. Dude the guy had sea stories up the wazzoo.
Yoshi is a close second though.

I thought he was pretty good.
Reed IMHO was the weekest..but I think it was the character. he just didn't quite fit in.

Well..I think Hoshi had some potential. The writers had her as a bit too weak & naiive, IMO. She should've had more screen time (& a bit less for the lame-brained big-busted 1st officer). It sucks that they started Hoshi off in the 1st eps as a larger character; then pretty much left her in the background. Perhaps if the show hadn't ended, Hoshi may have had more time to develop in the series. Maybe.

there coudl have been so many good scripts for Porthos. that would have been cool for example when he had to pose as the captain for an episode and fool the klingons or someone into believeing he is the captain, whilst archer is actually in sick bay with a hernia.
I think though Hoshi would have been good if she did more, the transporter accident episode was aweful, and so its a shame they didnt give her better scripts.

Well, right now, Porthos is tied with Hoshi, so which dog do you mean?
Actually, I take that back. Hoshi was Enterprise's "Ugly Betty", who was dressed in an unattractive way so she wouldn't detract from T'Boobs.
I think her character did have a lot of potential. The scenes in the Mirror universe episodes where she is having a relationship with Archer makes me think, why didn't they go down that road in the regular series? The two actors had great chemistry. It could have been what we were sort of promised and never got with the Kirk/Rand relationship.

Hoshi, for a few reasons. Linda Park is prettier than Jolene McAnorexic she's a significantly better acctress. Linda is also a certified combatant, so why ther didn't give her all sorts of fight scenes is beyond me- she's hot and it would have been super cool. Hoshi the character had a lot of potential, and they really should have explored her relationship with Archer a little more.
Why go down the boobie Vulcan path? Vulcans are way overused in the franchise.

I totally agree.

I think that Hoshi, Mayweather and Reed should have all been given more screen time. I feel like a lot of good stories could have been written about all three of these characters.

Hoshi because she's hot. :p

there wasnt much you could do with hoshi.. they didnt really expand on her character much, however if they had bothered to write more of a character for her then i would have liked to see it and see what she would become etc.
the character that had the most room to expand though i think was Travis Mayweather, i liked where he came from and the character, they could have made him a little less boyish though.
