Was it a producer decision or did she choose to leave?

Like at least five.

But she didn't last their either.

She must have had British actor syndrome.

I dont know,

I was just saying that maybe she dont like to be on a single show more than a couple of years. Which is what most brits do apparently and is why most shows over there dont last much more than three seasons.

well i think they should have just killed the complete character off... Ezri annoyed me, however i like how they introduced her. but still, its a shame as it messed up a few scripts. if it was the actress that wanted to leave it was clever to adapt the scripts around her but i think it would have been better just to kill them completely and maybe get a new character.

She chose to leave. Her six-year contract was up and she requested a large raise before she would sign a new contract (I've heard it was significantly higher than was most of the cast was offered). Paramount said no way, so she left and then got the job with Becker.

The same thing happened when she had been on Becker for a few seasons.

Sounds like she is full of herself.

From what I've read Meli, it didn't happen quite like that. Six year contract was over, that's true. But she wasn't asking for crazy amounts of money. She was offered a good part on Becker. She knew there was only one more season of DS9 to go. Becker had already been succesfull and looked as though it had many seasons to go. If she had stayed with DS9, the other show would have cast someone else and she would have been unemployed after DS9. She made the smartest choice at the time.

I've always heard it was a money based decision and not necessarily a smart career one. I heard she got offered the Becker gig after her threat to leave.

The chick that played Jadzia can't act. At leas not sci-fi. I always found Jadzia to be a most obnoxious character. Don't ask me why, but I always thought that Ezri was a far better Dax. I always though that Nichole DeBoer was able to fill the shoes of Dax more genuinely. When Jadzia died, I didn't shed any tears. Granted Ezri took some time to get used to, but I still preferred her.
