im not sure if this has been done here before, but its time for it... which is etter, pirates or ninja's?

on another site i saw (and the reason this is in the games section) they did a little ropleplay fight, so i thought that could be fun here.

for example:
Fleshandblood joins the pirate team.
fleshandblood enters a pirate ship and mounts the cannon
"yarr, come get me ye ninja's"

You know, as awesome as pirates are, ninjas win in a fight. The pirates probably won't even know about the fight.

They share coolness, though, which means pirates must be cooler before considering their killingness factor.

Let's face it, nobody kills as good as a ninja.

Also, ninjas have truly black clothes, not the very dark red, green, or blue most of us have.

this is all true, but porates are bloodthirsty, and fairly adaptable and quick... when they are off the RUM, so i dont think they would just be taken out... the Ninja's would be poncey with there swords and then the pirate will just shoot them.

but yes, they are awesome too. i wish i was one hehe.

The pistols of pirates would be neigh useless agsint a ninja on the deck of a ship. Where you thinking they'd fight someplace else?

Ninjas are better. Being a pirate just takes nastiness and balls. Being a Ninja takes skill, balls, and a knack for keeping your dark laundry from fading. Pirates probably don't even do laundry.

The ninja's will not sail up to a pirate ship for the attack. They'd stow away, or attack while at port. How can a ninaj use their super-stealth if they're approaching in a ship? Though, they may use a ship as bait, that's a good tactic.

Their clothes are true black. They are not died. They cannot fade.

well... when they arent pissed, its hard to get them off something if there mind is set on it. and if they have a good captain all the better.

Assuming the ninjas and pirates are of equal numbers, the pirates will lose. That's simply how the world works. If, however, the more likely scenerio of only one or few ninjas are fighting the pirates, we can expect a funner to watch fight.

How would the ninjas win? Sure, if the pirates were shacked up somewhere drinking away their plundered booty, then of course the ninjas would win. But what if we pit 100 pirates at their best against 100 ninjas at their best? Pirates are at their best at sea, while ninjas are supposed to be versatile, so they should be at their best anywhere. However, it's virtually impossible for ninjas (especially 100 of them) to sneak up on a ship at sea. It would basically come down to an on-ship melee battle. Ninjas are very swift with their weapons, but all their weapons are either blade weapons or non-damaging distractions, whereas pirates use swords and musket pistols.

I'd say it would be a rather even fight.

It would not be a toe to toe melee, though. If the ninjas could not sneak up to the pirates, they would not fight the pirates. We cannot assume both parties would be at their best, because a ninja's very idiom is to avoid that situation in the firt place. As I said, they would stow away while the pirates were getting drunk, or fight at the port. Besides, how swift they are with their weapons isn't even the point. A swift weapon is easily countered with a heavier weapon. I agree the pirates have better weapons, but pirates would not be fighting ninjas if they could use the full brunt of their weapons against them.

C'mon I've seen groups of soccer hooligan fanatics that could take down some pirates :lol: j/k

Ninjas are highly disiplined, trained assasins, who'll have you dead as soon as you lay eyes on them

At least say like Vikings or Cossacks or something, but not pirates. Pirates are just hoodlum naval gangs, compared to ninjas

then again the pirates were a bit like the modern form of chavs, in large numbers, trained or not, you wouldnt want to face them, and you would probably loose one on 5.

As a pirate (ECU) I should probably vote pirate, but ninjas are way cooler.

well i can tell you which one i think is cooler from those pctures.... Pirates all the way... see they can even look ok if they want to :p and they are really good with swords generally so ninjas would not just have an easy job of destroying them.
