And it's not, sadly. They really were never given a chance. The fans never gave it a chance. I watched it and never missed it. I have been enjoying the TOS Remastered shows, tho. I'm just waiting for Enterprise to make its debut on the SciFi Channel. Supposedly sometime this month. Which is winding down quickly.

i wish they had gone on... i dont understand why they couldnt see that when ratings started picking up again, that meant people were beginning to like the newer stuff, so chances are if thy had stuck to that way of storytelling, it would have got better still.

every show had its down season.

TNG: season 1+2
DS9: season 2+4
VOY: season 3+4

and the pattern? they all got better after season 4... as would have enterprise probably

T'Pol was totally ugly, generally the acting wasn't that great, Archer was a totally unbelievable captain (maybe he got better, I only watched season 1, part of season two, one Ep from season 3, and then the last Ep from season 4 though I doubt he improved) they had Warp drive before it should have been invented, and or in use according to TOS, and they screwed with continutity between themselves and TOS numerous times,.. not to mention stealing such things as war arcs and using the Borg, pratically having Phasers and Photons (actually I think they DID get photons) having "hull plating" that worked basically the same as shields, even their Tricorders looked and worked better then the TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY ones just about :sarcastic:
for a prequel they sure couldn't keep their hands out of future Tech and borrowing entire plots and eliments from other Treks
so in otherwords I see nothing that makes it deserving of staying on the air for as many seasons as it did :thumbs1:

Its on the SCi Fi channel every monday night 4 shows in a row

I only caught about three episodes during it's run, and have seen at least three in sindication at random hours of the night. At the time that the show was on, I wasn't too well versed in Star Trek, though now I can watch it and enjoy it. Some of the discrepencies in chronology do bug me (I saw the series premier and was confused by the Klingons), but I've heard that in season 4 they addressed many of those issues. I did think that T'Pol was distracting, mainly because I think the producers looked for the biggest gunned chick they could find, put her in a cat suit, and gave her Spock's hair cut and Vulcan ears. What bugged me about her was her "bimbo" facial expression she made constantly, and her "botoxesque" lips didn't help that image out. I honestly thought she figured that acting unemotional and logical meant to be an airhead runway model. But other than that, I do like the show and wished I could catch it at a normal time ona channel that I get.

I must say i enjoy it more now than i did when it was on the air , much more than i enjoy rewatching VOY for example , but not as much as DS9 or TOS
