Why do you suppose the Vorta Dominion spy Eris failed to acknowledge Odo as a Founder the moment she saw him?
She had ample time to recognize the Constable as a Changeling. Wouldn't being in the presence of one's "god"
evoke something? Is it possible the writers didn't want to reveal any more information about the Founders until the
Dominion plot/story arc unfolded? Or were the Vorta themselves ignorant of the Founders and their. . .appearance?

God question, although I don't remember her seeing odo. Doesn't she die in the end?

Perhaps only a select few Vorta ever get the privilege to meet or see a founder, while the rest just serve them? Or, maybe the writers had no idea that odo would be a founder at the time.

Ira even stated on the DVD special features that they were flying by the seat of they're pants a bit in the first few seasons.

They knew Odo was from somewhere on the other side of the wormhole and that the Dominion was to be a part of it , but no real plan was in place until later on in the series.

Also , i'm not too sure if ODo actually met the Vorta?

Probably have to watch it again to be sure

THey didn't get the idea of having Odo's people being the Founders until late that summer AFTER the JemHadar was aired.

I have noticed that too, I don't think she has ever seen a founder. Yes they were in a scene together. It was the final scene before she beamed out of Ops.

she did give him a knowing look from what i recall, but it has been so long since i saw that ep.

i think i do remember her seeing Odo, but also im sure there would have been a certain ammount of knowlege not to uncover anything just incase. Even if she hadn't seen a founder before she would have known what to look for and how to act to as not expose much.

she would have probably tried to get Odo in private before disclosing her knowleges and asking about plans etc.

She was playing innocent victim being persued by the Jem Hadar to Sisko and Kira it was not until the Sisko ordered her held that Odo and her came into contact and then she beamed out of Odo's hands.
