Title: Ceti Alpha IV

TiberiusK - September 16, 2006 05:04 PM (GMT)
(I have no idea what I'm doing)

We are the survivors of a transport convoy that has crashed on a mostly lifelife desert world of sand, wind and bugs. How many of us have survived the crash is still unclear. All starfleet command personnel were killed in the crash, so, as of right now, there is no clear chain-of-command or authority.

It's strange because computer databanks indicate that Ceti Alpha IV is a "hospitable planet," but it seems completely inhospitable.

Right now, our goal is to survive, and discover which of us are still alive, and whether or not we are alone on this desolate hell-world.

Well we need to split up into to two groups.

One to set up a shelter for right now. Another to gather what supplies and salvageable equipment they can for the time being. After that is done we can re-asses our sitiuation.

Greetings, stranger. My name is Jonas, a trader in "exotic" goods from the Orian syndicate.

Perhaps I could assess the cargo and make an inventory of supplies. I know nothing about these infernal starfleet systems though.

Do we have a doctor to attend to the wounded?

Alisium - September 16, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
Hello Jonas. My name is Micah a consultant of sorts.

We should use that hull section as a base to build our shelter off of. Its large and looks pretty sturdy. Also, lets the wounded over there. I can administer some first aid, while the others are gathering materials. But, already I can see that some are definately going to need a doctor.

Waking up, what seemed like a long distance away from where they crashed, Derek got to his feet, dazed he looked around. there was nothing in view but sand. It was blowing in the air, It was everywhere on the ground. Nothing to disturb his view was anywhere.

"HELLO!" Derek called. but to no effect. all he could hear in return was the mocking of the wind as it wizzed past his ears.

Derek decided to walk in one direction, with the wind. that way anything behind him making a noise would catch up to him, and anything in front would hear him shouting as he walked. Continuing for a while he thought he saw two people in the distance, standing and talking perhaps.

"Hello!?" Derek shouted again.

Can I get a hand bringing this guy over to that rock. Well set the casualty collection point right there. It looks pretty shielded from the wind. Well as sheilded as we are going to get untill we get the shelter up.

Speaking of I was thinking that....

Wait do you hear that?

Mojochi - September 18, 2006 11:26 AM (GMT)
Beneath the sounds of the windstorm, a man's cries are faintly heard from under some wreckage. Meanwhile, a tall, Delbian male in a gold Starfleet uniform emerges from the broken ship's hull crevasse, after having extinguished the remaing fires within the vessel's rear. He quickly joins the others to help free the trapped man.

"Does anyone know how many so far? I found 4 inside, & 3 wounded, though I'm not sure of the severity,
& I wasn't able to gain access to the front of the ship"

"I'm Coriuz the ship's transporter operator. when we're done here, I'll keep trying to find passage to the ship's command center. I must know what condition the computer systems are in, if we're to have any chance of sending out a distress signal, though it seems highly unlikely to be sucessful, given the atmospheric conditions"

A hand appears from the debris

"Careful now"

Freyr Tuck - September 18, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
a whithered old man with a long gray beard emerges from the rubble as he is helped by the starfleet officer.

"What are ya doin' crashin dat dar bloody ding dar on mah home!" The withered old man yelled violently waving a cane about. "Young whipper snappers and their confounded gizmos that don't work"

*A bulky figure suddenly emerges from a cloud of dust. It's Jonas, the orion sydicate merchant, returning from a long absence.

"Sirs, it appears that the cargo hold broke open in the lower atmosphere, just before we crashed. I've found some scattered debris about 1/4 of a mile to the south, but most of it was useless and half-buried in the sand...

"I've found some sort of little black box, but it appears to be broken:

"If this storm doesn't let up, any useable supplies will be completely buried in the sands of this awful planet.

"No food and no water! We're all going to die!"

MeliKoritsi - September 19, 2006 01:03 AM (GMT)
(whoo hoo, first RPG post ever, pointers greatly appreciated)

*A brunette haired human female in a blue starfleet uniform, climbs out of the wreckage, her arm hanging limply at her side.

"Do you need some help? I can't find the Doctor, but I'm his assistant Lt. Ross. Let's set up a triage, but I'm going to need some help- I think my arm is broken."

Lt. Virginia Ross

Mojochi - September 19, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)
"Well, Lieutenant, I'll help you set that arm of yours, & then bind it up, so it's immobilized. You're the only medical personnel we've come across, so far, & it won't do to have you aiding the wounded, while injured, yourself."

"It seems some of the injured are taking refuge behind that rock, near the hull. It might be best to look in on them, first, & there's a few wounded still inside the ship, one is unconscious, & pretty bad looking & there's a handful of people aiding them & helping to put out any fires"

"Sadly, I think you may be right, sir" (To Jonas) The ship entered this area from that direction & any salvagables will be back there, & likely to be burried, if we don't hurry to retrieve them. I'll see if anyone will join us in starting a search"

(To Micah) "I'd suggest that anyone else should start looking for materials which can be used to block off the fissure in the hull, or maybe provide suitable shelter, & I don't need to tell you all that we'll need to find protective coverings for ourselves, if we intend to be out here much longer

TiberiusK - September 21, 2006 09:24 PM (GMT)
OUC: Our barren desolate planet reminds me of the RPG forums in general

Alisium - September 21, 2006 10:14 PM (GMT)
(to Lt. Ross)

"Oh good some real medical staff! I did my best so far. Only one I would call critical" Micah signals for her to follow, "This guy has a pretty bad sucking chest wound. I have it covered with some chair material and held down on three sides with some makeshift clay' Not the most sanitary I know but it's all I got. The others are basically a few compression wounds and a nasty lasceration but, they are fine for now"

(Jonas and Coriuz)

"Now that Ross is here I am going to get back to working on that shelter, unless of course you still need me. Do you have any way to find your way back?"

Alisium - October 5, 2006 06:25 PM (GMT)
At that instant. A peice of the ship that had been circling around the planet finally fell and ran right through Micah, top to bottom, killing him instantly.

"Holy Moly, what a piece of ship!"

Mojochi - October 6, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
"Bloody hell!"
"Hey, now might be a good time for you folks to get back in the ship"

"I'm going to go see if the cargo bay's anti-grav unit is still working, & take it to recover some damn supplies"

"Um....If I'm not back in an hour...... I don't really know if you're going to want to come looking for me"

(Coriuz runs off)
